The holiday seasons roll around each year faster and faster every time, but the one thing that doesn't change about it, is the fun in decorating. One of the biggest holidays that people enjoy their time most decorating is during the Christmas season. There's plans for decorations on both the inside and outside of the house, coordination of the lights, creation of the infamous Christmas characters, and the favored holiday scenes that people create. However, there is one decorative portion that is most important above all else, the decoration of the Christmas tree.

The Christmas season is the time in which people become excited about buying their gifts for friends and families, sending out their Christmas cards, buying the newest ornaments of the season, and buying the necessary decorations that will complete your Christmas theme. Though we get stressed over some of these aspects, is all worth it when we see the surprised faces of those we have gifted. Some follow tradition, and go to a Christmas tree lot where pine trees are sold. For many, picking of the tree is a famed ritual that has a science to it. A more modern fashion of getting a tree has been buying a plastic one from the grocery store, which allows them to use the tree for many years to come. Once the tree is decided upon, then comes the next major decision, how to decorate the Christmas tree.

Throughout the generations, people have come up with many concepts that they believe to be appropriate on how to decorate a Christmas tree. What first must be mentioned about decorating these trees is that there isn't a right or wrong way for decorating. The only way that is right is the way that you feel your tree should be in what is your vision of the holiday season. One of the best ways to get started with decorating your tree is begin getting all the needed materials together and organized, such as strings of lights, ornaments, tinsel, garland, etc. Once all of these materials come together you can begin creating your Christmas masterpiece.

Those who have a plastic tree must first assemble their tree, and those who have a real tree must have a stand that is sturdy enough. Once these steps are done, many people typically follow the procedure of putting their lights on the tree first. There are those who believe that they should start putting the lights on beginning from inside the tree and working them outward. It's said that it's easier this way for it keeps the lights from getting entangled with one another. This also allows for the tree to not look as bare on the inside, which has been a personal issue with some people. There are a number of light themes that people have chosen; such as the multi-colored lights, white lights, the bulbs, the blinking lights, and the newest one being blue lights. There have bee arguments that have stemmed from ornament placement because there are those people who strongly believe that ornaments have a certain spot on the tree, which can be a family tradition for some. Many decorators have many different steps in which they follow with these remaining decorations. Some will add the tinsel and garland, saving the topper for last, while other will do just the opposite. Again, as mentioned above, there isn't a right or wrong way, only the way that feels right for you and your family.

What is most enjoyed about the Christmas tree, is that there isn't any set laws in place that say how to decorate a Christmas tree. The way that is right by many is through what their personal tradition dictates to them. These traditions are passed down through the generations of picked up tips and successful suggestions that have yet to fail them. As these traditions are passed along, some of them stay as they are, unaltered, and in some cases, these traditions change with added improvements, with the foundation of tradition still in place. Others might feel what should they do when they don't have a tradition that guides them in knowing how to decorate a Christmas tree. Well that answer is simple, many say just let yourself be filled with the love and inspiration your family provides for you all the time, and especially during the holiday season. With that sort of inspiration behind a person, they will find that they are capable of creating a masterpiece that is in perfect representation of how much they enjoy being with their family during the Christmas holiday. However, there is one particular Christmas holiday that is suggested once a person gains their ability with learning how to decorate a Christmas tree, and their finished, to turn off all the lights, and sit in the room and look at the tree with all of it's decorations, lights, and love.
